Anti-money laundering/Counter financing of terrorism/Counter proliferation financing (AML/CFT/CPF) Compliance Programs & Assessment
Anti-money Laundering/Combatting the Financing of Terrorism/Counter Proliferation Financing Compliance Programs (AML/CFT/CPF)
- We conduct independent reviews and risk assessments to fully understand the money laundering/terrorist financing/proliferation financing (ML/TF/PF) and other financial crimes risk exposures of financial institutions. This helps to determine whether the risks are sufficiently managed through effective implementation of adequately designed internal controls.
- We assess the inherent ML/TF/PF risk profile of the financial institution, evaluate its AML/CFT/CPF control maturity, provide a view as to its design adequacy relative to the institution’s risk profile, verify the existence of key controls, and conduct sample-based control and transaction testing to assess the effectiveness of primary AML/CFT/CPF preventative and detective controls.
- We prepare gap examination and ML/TF/PF risk assessment reports, updates AML/CFT/CPF policies and procedures, compliance monitoring tools, and conducts staff training. Findings are presented to senior management and the Board.
- We conduct global sanctions risk assessment and review of an institution’s sanctions compliance program. The process involves reviewing existing sanctions policies and processes, developing a sanctions grid, and updating the sanctions compliance framework.
- We assess an institution’s capacity to meet the requirements of correspondent banks and compliance with international standards, including those published in the Wolfsberg Group Financial Crime Principles for Correspondent Banking.
